As a Medical Science Liaison, you will serve as a trusted scientific partner for healthcare professionals, providing expertise on genomic testing and disease insights. You will build relationships with key opinion leaders, support clinical research initiatives, and help advance understanding of innovative diagnostic solutions. Working closely with medical affairs, sales, and marketing teams, you will contribute to educational programs, evidence generation, and product lifecycle strategies. Accountabilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with academic and community healthcare providers to increase understanding and adoption of genomic diagnostic solutions.
- Serve as a scientific and clinical resource for healthcare professionals, internal teams, and key stakeholders by providing accurate, compliant, and relevant medical information.
- Identify key opinion leaders and support investigator-initiated studies from development through completion, including publication activities.
- Deliver tailored scientific presentations, educational programs, and clinical discussions for external healthcare audiences.
- Collaborate with medical affairs, research and development, managed care, sales, and marketing teams to support product strategy and improvements.
- Review scientific literature and translate complex clinical and research findings into clear educational materials for internal and external audiences.
- Support real-world evidence initiatives by collecting insights and contributing to clinical utility research.
- Provide scientific support for market access activities by sharing clinical information that supports reimbursement and coverage discussions.
- Attend relevant conferences, provide field insights, and prepare summaries of important scientific developments for leadership teams.
- Support internal education through medical updates, journal clubs, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements:
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree required, including Ph.D., M.D., Pharm.D., or D.O.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical or industry experience, preferably with a focus on oncology or diagnostics.
- Strong understanding of clinical research, genomic medicine, disease biology, and the peer-reviewed publication process.
- Experience as a Medical Science Liaison, particularly supporting novel diagnostic technologies, is highly preferred.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex scientific and clinical information to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to understand healthcare provider needs and adapt communication approaches effectively.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for improving patient care and healthcare outcomes.
- Familiarity with statistical methodologies and clinical data interpretation.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region, with approximately 60% travel required.
- Proximity to a major airport hub is preferred to support regional travel requirements.
Benefits:
