Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, negotiating, purchasing, and optimizing media space across various platforms to drive maximum ROI for our advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, deep understanding of all traditional media channels and excellent negotiation skills.

This role includes training designed to equip you with in-depth knowledge of our internal systems, client requirements, broadcast media fundamentals and core negotiation strategies.

You will work closely with the production team to ensure creative deadlines are met so we can reach the right audience effectively. Your role will be pivotal in bringing in quality cost-efficient leads for our client, while supporting the overall media strategy.

 

Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

       Develop and maintain positive relationships with sales representatives across multiple media markets

       Negotiate rates that will generate cost-effective lead flow for the client, aiming for roughly 75% clearance rate

       Analyze response data to optimize current and future media schedules, identifying programs/dayparts that are most effective in each individual market as well as recognizing larger trends across the country

       Build effective, well-rounded media plans that meet client lead flow needs

       Write thorough rationales that provide market insights to client and instill client confidence

       Place orders and revisions with media, follow through to ensure that orders are processed

       As new initiatives are taken on, work with the team to build and assess strategies for future campaigns

       Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

  • Professionalism: A high standard for excellence when communicating with clients and a welcoming, professional remote workspace. You鈥檒l be on camera for Zoom calls.

  • Communication: Clear, professional, and timely communication skills. You are equally effective whether you are providing deliverables to a client or negotiating with a station.

Required (and/or) preferred education and experience:

       3-5 years of hands-on experience in media buying, sales, client-facing roles or media negotiation

       Bachelor鈥檚 degree or equivalent experience required

 

Physical demands:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
