This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an MDM Software Application Development Engineer in the United States.
This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions within a complex SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. You will act as a technical expert responsible for shaping scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that support critical business operations. The position combines hands-on development with solution design, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration across IT, product, and business teams. You will play a key role in translating business requirements into robust technical solutions while improving data governance, consistency, and system reliability. Operating in a high-impact enterprise environment, you will also contribute to modernization initiatives, including large-scale SAP transformations and migrations. This role is ideal for a strong technical leader who thrives in solving complex data and integration challenges at scale.
Accountabilities- Design and develop SAP MDG and S/4HANA-based Master Data Management solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Define scalable, secure, and resilient architecture decisions covering performance, usability, availability, and system integrity.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications and ensure successful system implementation.
- Configure system settings and support unit, integration, and acceptance testing across MDM solutions.
- Lead technical analysis and development of SAP master data objects including Material, BOM, Routing, Work Center, and Production Versions.
- Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and technical teams to prioritize and deliver solution enhancements.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support system integrations across SAP and non-SAP environments using IDoc, ALE, and related frameworks.
- Participate in SAP transformation initiatives, including large-scale data migration, cleansing, and harmonization programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in SAP MDG and S/4HANA solution design, configuration, and development (or equivalent advanced experience).
- Strong hands-on expertise in ABAP, SAP Fiori, S/4HANA, ALE, IDoc processing, and SQL.
- Experience working with SAP master data domains such as Material, BOM, Routing, Work Center, and Production Versions.
- Proven experience in at least one large-scale SAP MDM or S/4HANA migration or transformation program.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, integration patterns, and system interoperability.
- Experience with data governance, data cleansing, data mapping, and master data standards is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in complex, high-pressure environments with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Experience in semiconductor or highly regulated industries is a plus.
