About the Role
We are seeking a Managing Director (MD) to lead one of our B2B software businesses. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across all major business functions, including sales and marketing, R&D, customer success, professional services, finance, and human resources.
As Managing Director, you will be accountable for driving the company’s performance, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring sustainable growth through innovation, operational discipline, and strong leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Own the long-term vision, strategy, and financial and operational objectives for the business.
- Define clear goals around growth, profitability, customer care, and operational excellence.
- Lead quarterly and annual planning processes and ensure execution against defined KPIs.
Sales and Marketing
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and executing sales strategies.
- Lead sales operations to improve scalability, forecasting, and process discipline.
- Oversee the development and implementation of marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility.
- Manage key customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Utilize CRM tools to improve forecasting accuracy and reporting (e.g., NRR, MRR, CAC/LTV).
Customer Success
- Implement and optimize customer success programs to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor key metrics such as NPS, satisfaction scores, and support resolution times.
- Ensure the business maintains a strong customer-first culture.
Research & Development
- Oversee product roadmap development and alignment with market needs.
- Balance investment between innovation and product maintenance.
- Foster collaboration between product management and engineering to ensure timely, high-quality releases.
Professional Services
- Ensure delivery of profitable and high-quality projects.
- Monitor utilization rates, project margins, and customer feedback.
- Develop and refine operational playbooks to scale service excellence.
Financial Management
- Drive performance in revenue growth, profit, customer retention, and expense management.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and oversee P&L, EBITDA, and ARR/NRR performance.
- Work with Valsoft leadership to set and meet financial and strategic targets.
Human Resources & Culture
- Partner with HR leadership to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Build and maintain a strong, values-driven company culture.
- Ensure compliance with local employment legislation.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Collaborate with the Valsoft investment group to identify and execute M&A opportunities.
- Lead post-acquisition integration efforts, focusing on operational transformation and synergy realization.

Qualifications
- 3–8 years of senior leadership experience within B2B technology, software, or enterprise services.
- Proven track record managing teams and P&L in areas such as payments automation, document management, or ERP integration.
- Strong business acumen and experience developing and executing strategic plans.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Hands-on operational leader with expertise across multiple business functions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience leading or integrating acquired businesses.
- Exposure to vertical market software and subscription-based (SaaS) models.
- Familiarity with financial metrics such as Rule of 40, ARR, and NRR performance.
- Background in customer success transformation or product-led growth initiatives.
