This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, Software Engineering in the United States.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-performing team building scalable SaaS applications that help organizations manage critical business operations. You will oversee technical execution, deliver product outcomes, and ensure engineering excellence while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. This role combines people leadership with hands-on technical expertise, enabling you to influence both team development and product strategy. You will collaborate closely with product, QA, customer success, and cross-functional partners to drive impactful results. Your focus will be on coaching engineers, removing obstacles, improving delivery practices, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. The position offers an opportunity to shape engineering culture while delivering solutions that directly impact customers and business goals.

Accountabilities:
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 4-6 engineers through coaching, 1:1s, and career development.
• Set technical direction, oversee execution, and ensure delivery of roadmap initiatives with quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Customer Success, and Sales Engineering to prioritize and execute tasks using Agile methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, assess current engineering practices, and enhance developer efficiency.
• Partner with senior leadership and other engineering managers to align engineering efforts with company goals.
• Manage vendor relationships, evaluate build-vs-buy decisions, and handle cross-functional dependencies affecting delivery.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and high-quality software development practices.

Requirements

 • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or related roles (Developer, System Administrator, Database Administrator).
• Experience managing 5+ direct reports, or team/lead experience with strong people leadership.
• Deep understanding of modern software frameworks, scalable SaaS architectures, and best practices.
• Strong competency in Agile processes, roadmaps, prioritization, and balancing velocity with quality.
• Knowledge of security practices, compliance frameworks, and OWASP principles.
• Ability to work effectively across business units, collaborating with Product, Sales, Customer Success, or Support teams.
• Strong technical leadership and people management skills with a focus on coaching and team growth.
• Ability to drive engineering efficiency initiatives and foster continuous improvement.
