This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, Global Trade in the United States.

This role sits at the center of export compliance and international business enablement within a highly regulated aerospace and defense environment. You will act as a key authority on ITAR and EAR regulations, ensuring that global programs operate within strict legal and policy frameworks. The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on licensing execution, directly supporting business growth in international markets. You will serve as an Empowered Official and trusted advisor across engineering, program, and business development teams. This is a high-impact role where your expertise shapes how advanced technologies are shared and deployed globally. You will also play a critical part in strengthening compliance infrastructure, tools, and processes across the organization. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders.


Accountabilities:
  • Serve as Empowered Official and primary authority for export/import licensing decisions, ensuring compliance with ITAR, EAR, and related regulations.
  • Prepare, review, submit, and manage export authorizations including licenses, agreements, exemptions, and technical data transfers supporting global programs.
  • Develop and execute export licensing strategies that enable international business growth and support capture efforts for new opportunities.
  • Provide expert guidance on compliance requirements, interpret regulatory provisions, and advise internal teams on export controls and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate across engineering, program management, business development, and operations to ensure compliant execution of global activities.
  • Support audits, investigations, disclosures, and continuous improvement of global trade compliance processes, tools, and governance frameworks.

Requirements:

This role requires deep expertise in export compliance and strong experience operating in complex, matrixed environments. Candidates should be comfortable advising senior stakeholders and managing sensitive regulatory processes with precision.

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years in export compliance, global trade, or related fields.
  • Proven experience preparing and managing ITAR/EAR license applications and agreements (e.g., DSP-5, DSP-73, TAAs, MLAs).
  • Strong knowledge of export control systems and tools such as DECCS, SNAP-R, or similar compliance platforms.
  • Experience acting as or working closely with an Empowered Official in a regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and ensure compliance in time-sensitive situations.
  • Active or eligible U.S. Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
