This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, Enterprise Sales Engineering (West) in the United States.

In this role, you will lead a high-performing Enterprise Sales Engineering team, driving technical strategy and engagement across some of the largest and most complex accounts in the market. You will serve as both a hands-on player and coach, supporting enterprise deals while mentoring your team to deliver exceptional technical guidance. Partnering closely with sales, product, and cross-functional teams, you will influence executive decision-makers, define technical strategies, and ensure solutions address critical business and security challenges. The position combines people leadership, strategic deal involvement, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will shape the customer experience, elevate technical standards, and scale a team capable of winning at the highest enterprise levels.


Accountabilities:
  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing enterprise Sales Engineering team to support large, complex accounts.
  • Coach Sales Engineers on enterprise discovery, executive storytelling, technical validation, and value-based selling.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to define and execute technical strategies for new logo acquisition and expansion within enterprise accounts.
  • Engage with CISO, CIO, and CTO stakeholders as a trusted technical and security advisor.
  • Lead complex sales cycles from discovery through Proof of Value (POV), providing guidance on architecture, competitive positioning, and security design.
  • Monitor team performance, resource allocation, and operational efficiency through metrics, QBRs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Share customer insights, market intelligence, and technical feedback with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership to inform go-to-market strategy.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, including 2+ years managing enterprise pre-sales teams.
  • Proven success leading technical sales efforts for large, complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Deep understanding of email security, cloud applications, networking fundamentals, and SaaS platforms.
  • Experience owning and scaling Proof of Value programs for enterprise customers.
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Technical knowledge of cloud SaaS infrastructure, identity services (e.g., Azure AD / Google Identity), and email security protocols.
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
  • Preferred: experience with Fortune 500 / Global 2000 organizations, AI-driven security platforms, or enterprise email security solutions.
