PAR Punchh is seeking a highly driven Manager, DevOps to lead our next-generation cloud infrastructure and automation capabilities supporting high-scale, mission-critical loyalty and engagement platforms. This role requires a visionary hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at driving modernization initiatives across DevOps, CloudOps, and SecOps disciplines.
You will lead a cross-functional team responsible for the automation, governance, security, observability, and cost optimization of our AWS infrastructure—ensuring scalability, reliability, and speed of delivery. What We’re Looking For:
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Security or related technical field.
12+ years of experience in Security, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles.
5+ years of proven people management in leading high-performing, Security, infrastructure or DevOps teams
Deep understanding of AWS and hybrid cloud environments, including operational and security architectures.
Hands-on expertise with:
IaC & CI/CD: Terraform, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild
Security: IAM, Cloud Governance, Cloudflare, Akamai, WAF/DNS, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty
Observability: NewRelic Data Dog, , CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, log visibility
Scripting: PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation initiatives and managing incident lifecycle processes in production.
Additional skills:
 Experience in eCommerce, loyalty platforms, or high-volume transactional environments.
Familiarity with multi-tenant systems and microservices-based architectures.
Understanding of FinOps tools and cloud spend optimization frameworks.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and GitOps workflows.

Team Leadership & Strategy
Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team of DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud, and Systems Engineers.
Define and drive the strategic roadmap for infrastructure automation, cloud modernization, and platform reliability.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and operational efficiency.
Cloud Operations & IaC
Oversee secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS environments.
Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using Terraform and CI/CD modernization with GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline (or similar).
Guide systems engineers in transitioning to modern, cloud-centric operating models.
Security, Governance & Compliance
Partner with security teams to enforce IAM, WAF, DNS, Zero
Trust, and AWS-native security controls.
Implement automation-driven compliance frameworks and policy enforcement (e.g., SCPs, RBAC, PAM, Wiz integration).
Observability & Incident Management
Drive observability strategy using tools like DataDog,NewRelic ,OpenTelemetry, and AWS-native monitoring (e.g.,CloudWatch, X-Ray).
Lead 24x7 incident response practices, root cause analysis, and system restoration for customer-impacting issues.
Ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and telemetry across infrastructure and application layers.
Cloud Cost Optimization (FinOps)
Lead cost governance initiatives to reduce COGS while maintaining reliability and scale.
Collaborate with Finance and Procurement to manage AWS budgets, forecast usage, and negotiate vendor contracts (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare, NewRelic, Data Dog ).
Cross-Functional Execution
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to align DevOps priorities with business goals.
Own the lifecycle of DevOps tooling, automation pipelines, and deployment infrastructure supporting API traffic and real-time applications.
