This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, DevOps Engineering in the United States.

This role offers a strategic leadership opportunity within a high-performing DevOps environment. The Manager will guide and develop the DevOps Engineering team, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement across cloud platforms and technology infrastructure. You will drive process innovation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure that technical solutions meet business needs efficiently and securely. This position emphasizes mentoring, technical leadership, and strategic planning, providing the scope to influence cloud operations and DevOps best practices. You will play a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals, optimizing performance, and fostering a culture of innovation. Strong communication skills and a focus on both team development and technical execution are key to success.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead, manage, and mentor the DevOps Engineering team to foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

·         Define and implement DevOps processes, functions, and procedures to deliver robust cloud platforms.

·         Collaborate with Product Teams, Product Owners, Enterprise Support Engineers, and Solution Architects to analyze business needs and improve scalability, supportability, and recovery for engineered solutions.

·         Monitor resource consumption and cost efficiency for cloud solutions while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

·         Oversee financial planning, budgeting, recruiting, hiring, and performance monitoring of the DevOps team.

·         Stay current on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually enhance DevOps capabilities.

·         Lead architectural development processes and provide technical guidance across projects and teams.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

·         5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud administration, including cost reporting, optimization, and management.

·         3+ years of experience managing, coaching, and developing technical teams.

·         Experience in full-cycle software development (SDLC) within an Agile/Scrum environment.

·         Strong background in DevOps practices including CI/CD automation, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and Git source code management.

·         Prior experience in system administration is preferred.

·         Proven ability to lead teams through incident triaging, architectural development, and stakeholder collaboration.

·         Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.

·         Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to driving technology strategy and process improvement.
