Machine Learning Engineer Intern

What you’ll do<ul><li>Work on Wayfinding projects that impact the business and contribute to Transcarent’s mission of better health and care</li><li>You'll gain exposure to how a real engineering team works, from sprint planning to shipping code</li><li>You’ll be exposed to experienced engineers from all backgrounds (web development, mobile, API, Salesforce, etc.)</li><li>You'll have a formal mentor on your team guiding you throughout your internship period</li></ul>What we’re looking for<ul><li>Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.</li><li>Proficiency in SQL and Python.</li><li>Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering, including concepts like tool-use, retrievalaugmented generation (RAG), and structured outputs</li><li>Familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph, including building agentic workflows, tool calling pipelines, and multi-step orchestration patterns.</li><li>Experience working with ML evaluation methods, such as benchmarking, automated testing, rubric-based grading, or model performance analysis.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate across engineering, product, and research teams.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.</li></ul>Nice to have<ul><li>Experience with tools like LangChain, Langsmith, and Snowflake.</li><li>Coursework or project work involving building agents with RAG capabilities.</li><li>Basic understanding of Git and version control workflows.</li></ul><div class="content-conclusion">Who we are  Transcarent is the One Place for Health and Careᵀᴹ, bringing medical, pharmacy, and point solutions together with the WayFindingᵀᴹ experience, the first and only generative AI-powered health and care platform for health consumers.
