About the role
As a Loan Specialist, you’ll play a dual role in both initiating customer relationships and ensuring smooth loan processing. You’ll proactively reach out to potential applicants, guide them through their loan options, and support them through the cycle of the funding process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both customer engagement and behind-the-scenes operational work.
Key Responsibilities
Handle both outbound and inbound calls with prospective customers, clearly presenting all loan offers and helping them choose the most suitable option.
Build rapport with customers and provide clear, empathetic guidance throughout the loan journey.
Review and verify customer-submitted documents, including identity, income, employment, and insurance.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate loan funding.
Identify and escalate potential fraud or compliance issues when necessary.
Maintain accurate records and notes in internal systems to ensure transparency and continuity.
Contribute to process improvements by sharing insights and feedback from customer interactions.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
2+ years of combined experience in personal lending and loan processing or verification.
Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and engaging with customers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Familiarity with consumer lending, credit reports, or financial documentation is required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus but not required.
Comfortable working across multiple software tools and adapting quickly to new technologies.
Location
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere that suits you best! While you primarily work from home, you are always welcome to visit our office in Irving, TX, whenever you choose. We encourage our remote team members to stay connected through regular virtual meetings and team events. All team members must reside in one of our approved locations by their start date, ensuring you remain part of our collaborative community.
Compensation
For this role our salary range is $20 to $22 per hour, depending on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
