Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Loan Officer Assistant based in India to provide high-level operational and administrative support to our U.S.-based Loan Officers. This remote role is critical to ensuring a smooth and timely loan processing experience for our clients. You will be responsible for managing documentation, coordinating communications, and supporting backend workflow—without involvement in sales or client origination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support U.S. Loan Officers in organizing, tracking, and maintaining loan files from application to close.
- Handle documentation collection, review, and internal system uploads to ensure compliance and completeness.
- Act as a liaison between internal underwriting, processing, and closing teams to facilitate next steps in the loan lifecycle.
- Monitor and manage email communications, follow-up tasks, and operational checklists.
- Perform data entry, status updates, and loan file audits within CRM and LOS platforms.
- Prepare summaries and reports to assist the U.S. team with borrower updates and internal coordination.
- Stay up to date on company policies, underwriting guidelines, and U.S. loan documentation standards.
- Support process improvement initiatives and help document SOPs for repeatable loan support functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in loan processing, financial services, or administrative operations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency with productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms (Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience working in U.S.-based mortgage or lending environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced setting with overlapping U.S. hours (at least 4 hours/day).
