Hire Resolve is assisting legal organizations in hiring experienced legal professionals for multiple mid–senior level opportunities across a range of practice areas and business functions. These openings span several disciplines within the legal sector, including law firm and in-house roles, and are suited to candidates seeking progression toward senior specialist, manager, and leadership pathways (e.g., Senior Counsel, Managing Attorney, Practice Group Lead, Legal Operations Manager).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel and practical risk-based guidance to business stakeholders and/or clients
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents (e.g., MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, commercial agreements)
- Manage matters across areas such as corporate governance, employment, compliance, litigation, regulatory, privacy, IP, real estate, or transactions (based on background)
- Oversee outside counsel, budgets, and matter strategy, including discovery, motion practice, settlement discussions, and reporting
- Support internal investigations, policy development, and regulatory response activities where applicable
- Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and document retention expectations
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Operations, and Security teams to improve legal workflows and outcomes
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives (e.g., playbooks, clause libraries, contract lifecycle management, matter management)
- Produce clear written work product, presentations, and training for non-legal audiences
- Mentor junior team members and help elevate quality standards across the function
Requirements
- Education/credentials (role-dependent):
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction for attorney roles, or
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with relevant legal experience for legal operations, contracts, compliance, or specialist roles
- Paralegal/Legal Assistant roles may require an associate/bachelor’s degree and/or relevant paralegal certification (preferred)
- Experience: Typically 5–12+ years of progressive legal experience (law firm and/or in-house), aligned to mid–senior level scope
- Demonstrated strength in one or more areas such as contracts, corporate/commercial law, employment, compliance, litigation management, privacy, regulatory, or legal operations
- Strong drafting, issue-spotting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with common legal systems and tools (role-dependent), such as CLM, e-billing, matter management, document management, eDiscovery platforms, and Microsoft 365
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to translate legal concepts into actionable business guidance
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain high standards of discretion and professionalism
