This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Legal Ops Manager in the United States.

This role sits at the heart of a fast-scaling legal function within a high-growth technology environment. You will be the first dedicated legal operations hire, responsible for building the systems, workflows, and infrastructure that enable the legal team to scale efficiently. Acting as a true builder, you will shape how legal processes are designed, automated, and optimized across the organization. The position combines strategy and hands-on execution, with direct impact on contracting, tooling, and cross-functional collaboration. You will partner closely with legal, sales, security, product, and finance teams to streamline operations and improve speed and consistency. This is a highly visible role where your work directly influences business velocity and operational maturity. It is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and is excited to design scalable systems from the ground up.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will define and build the legal operations function from scratch, creating scalable systems that support a rapidly growing organization. You will own the design and optimization of legal workflows, tools, and processes while enabling the legal team to operate efficiently and at scale.

  • Build and manage end-to-end legal operations infrastructure, including intake processes, contract workflows, templates, and documentation systems.
  • Lead evaluation, implementation, and optimization of legal technology solutions such as CLM platforms, workflow automation tools, and legal intake systems.
  • Support the transition of commercial contracting in-house and improve speed, consistency, and scalability of agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized legal knowledge base, including playbooks, FAQs, and self-service resources.
  • Partner with Sales, RevOps, Security, IT, Product, and Finance to design and implement cross-functional legal workflows and integrations.
  • Drive adoption of legal tools and processes by building training materials, enablement programs, and structured rollout plans.
  • Identify and implement AI-driven and automation opportunities to improve legal efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Build reporting dashboards and metrics to track legal performance, including contract cycle times, workload, and bottlenecks.
  • Manage vendor relationships, external counsel operations, and legal budgeting processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in legal operations within a fast-paced, high-growth environment and has a proven track record of building scalable systems rather than maintaining existing ones. You are highly analytical, structured, and comfortable operating in ambiguity while driving execution across multiple stakeholders.

  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations, with at least 2 years in a high-growth tech or startup environment.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing legal systems, workflows, and operational infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Hands-on experience with legal technology platforms (e.g., CLM, intake systems, workflow automation tools, contract repositories).
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracting processes and GTM (Go-To-Market) operations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, RevOps, Security, Product, Finance, or IT teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and design scalable, data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate legal and operational needs into clear, actionable processes.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies applied to legal workflows is highly valued.
  • High ownership mindset with a strong bias toward execution and continuous improvement.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Fully remote work environment
  • Unlimited PTO with recommended time off for balance and wellbeing
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance (U.S. employees)
  • Paid family leave (12 weeks fully paid in the U.S.)
  • Equipment, software, and home office setup support
  • Learning and development budget for education and professional growth
  • Stock option program with long exercise window flexibility
  • High-impact role with strong visibility and direct influence on company scaling
