About the Role:

Do you love practicing law and the intersection of technology and professional services? Have you embraced and leveraged technology to improve processes and efficiency in your work? We’re a team of LegalTech professionals transforming the way in-house legal teams manage their outside counsel programs. You’ll come with all of the typical In-house Counsel skillset, with a commercially-focused approach and a passion for innovation. You enjoy partnering with internal teams and clients to provide legal advice and guidance, and you make a clear impact on the key business goals and objectives. Does this sound like you? We’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Draft, review, analyze, negotiate and manage the contract process for customers/sales, partnerships, non-disclosure and related agreements
  • Draft and negotiate a variety of other complex commercial agreements
  • Partner with our Sales & Customer Success teams to negotiate and close revenue while balancing corporate policies, business procedures, data privacy and compliance matters
  • Negotiate vendor agreements for various products and services, including SaaS, professional services, marketing & events, real estate, software development, etc.
  • Partner with our Leadership team and other stakeholders on a wide range of legal, business and strategic issues in a fast-paced and high growth environment
  • Support the review and vetting of new product features and functionality, including AI, prior to commercialization as well as marketing content/materials
  • Provide guidance to GC with the due diligence process for M&A activity
  • Research and provide recommendations on varying legal issues (eg. anti-trust and competition, all things data privacy, IP etc.), and assist in drafting company policies and guidelines

Requirements

Who You Are:

  • JD from an accredited law school, and current license to practice in the United States
  • 3-5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience with technology companies
  • Proven track record of providing practical, commercially-oriented legal advice and guidance
  • Solid knowledge and experience with privacy laws, particularly in the US and Europe, specifically within technology companies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Practical and commercial approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Proven contract management and contract negotiation skills
  • Experience with subscription/SaaS agreements strongly preferred; familiarity with privacy, and/or information security a plus
  • Team player, able to handle ambiguity, anticipate and react to changes quickly in a fast-paced environment and able to handle pressure and deadlines
