Harrell and Harrell, P.A., a trusted personal injury law firm with a legacy dating back to 1974, is seeking a skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team in Jacksonville. Responsibilities

  • Maintain attorney calendar by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel; monitor client deadlines, and be proactive in reminding attorneys of priorities and deliverables.
  • Prepare correspondence, memos, and other legal documents as directed.
  • Assist with document review, proofreading, and editing of various legal documents, correspondence, memoranda and presentations.
  • Complete conflicts checks and new business forms through electronic intake systems and draft engagement letters.
  • Work closely and effectively with the attorneys to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Act as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the attorneys updated.
  • Demonstrate excellent independent judgment as well as problem-solving, analytic and communication skills when addressing issues and selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Represent attorney by diplomatically communicating and obtaining information; following up on delegated assignments; knowing when to act and when to refer matters to attorney.
  • Be independent, have a can-do spirit, and be able to manage multiple projects and tasks at a time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal technology platforms, such as document management systems, e-filing platforms, and billing software.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in customer service or training roles.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Proven ability to develop training materials and curriculum tailored to different learning styles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for motivating and inspiring others.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and employee performance.
