This role is a key part of a people-focused HR function dedicated to supporting employees through critical life and health-related absences while ensuring full regulatory compliance. The Leave Administrator manages a wide range of leave programs and workers’ compensation cases, serving as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and HR partners. The position requires strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws and the ability to handle sensitive employee situations with discretion and professionalism. Working in a collaborative HR environment, the role also involves close coordination with third-party administrators and legal stakeholders. Accountabilities:- Administer all employee leave programs, including FMLA, parental leave, disability, military leave, and other statutory absences while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Manage ADA accommodation requests and coordinate required medical documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on leave policies, providing guidance to employees, managers, and HR business partners.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date leave records and documentation within HR systems.
- Administer workers’ compensation claims from initial reporting through resolution, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Support coordination with third-party administrators and assist in determining case handling between internal and external management.
- Collaborate on compliance with state paid leave programs in coordination with legal and external partners.
- Complete required reporting, including OSHA-related documentation and annual compliance submissions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience in HR or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in leave administration, disability management, or workers’ compensation.
- Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and disability programs.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policies clearly.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and maintaining detailed employee records.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a structured and deadline-driven environment.
