This role sits at the heart of an enterprise learning design function responsible for shaping, developing, and continuously improving learning experiences across a large healthcare organization. You will design scalable, engaging, and data-informed learning solutions that directly support workforce capability, operational excellence, and patient-centered care. Acting as both a strategist and hands-on designer, you will translate business needs into impactful learning programs using modern instructional design approaches. Working in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment, you will partner with subject matter experts, education leaders, and stakeholders across the organization. The role requires balancing multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining high standards for learning quality and effectiveness. This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide learning transformation in a complex, mission-driven setting.


Accountabilities

This role is responsible for leading the full learning design lifecycle, from analysis through evaluation, ensuring learning solutions are aligned with organizational priorities and workforce needs. You will design, develop, and continuously enhance enterprise learning programs using established instructional design models and modern digital learning practices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing end-to-end learning solutions using methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, and Agile to support enterprise and market-specific training needs.
  • Collaborating with education leaders, SMEs, business stakeholders, and vendors to create high-quality, engaging learning experiences.
  • Developing diverse learning assets including courses, videos, simulations, guides, assessments, and interactive learning activities.
  • Recommending and integrating innovative learning technologies and instructional approaches to improve engagement and effectiveness.
  • Evaluating learning impact using data, metrics, and feedback to continuously improve programs and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Supporting LMS integration and serving as a key resource for training design standards and implementation across the organization.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in instructional design and adult learning, combined with experience delivering complex learning programs in healthcare or similarly regulated environments. You are a strong communicator, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in eLearning and instructional design using adult learning theory.
  • Experience leading learning projects in matrixed or enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond, Adobe Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design models, blended learning strategies, and learning evaluation methods.
  • Experience working in healthcare or clinical operations environments.
  • Project leadership experience managing multiple concurrent learning initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into effective, measurable learning solutions.
  • Familiarity with LMS systems and enterprise learning content curation.
