This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop high-quality instructional materials and assessments for English Language Arts. The Learning Experience Designer will create engaging, standards-aligned content for diverse learners, leveraging research-based pedagogical approaches and technology tools. You will collaborate closely with educators, curriculum specialists, and data analysts to refine materials and ensure they support meaningful learning outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, expertise in assessment and curriculum design, and a strong understanding of instructional best practices. This position emphasizes both content quality and learner engagement, with opportunities to innovate in digital learning experiences. Strong project management and communication skills are essential to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:

·         Design and develop formative and summative ELA assessments, instructional materials, and activities aligned with state and national standards (e.g., Common Core, TEKS, BEST).

·         Ensure all materials incorporate differentiation and scaffolding strategies to support diverse learners.

·         Collaborate with educators, subject matter experts, data scientists, and curriculum developers to refine and enhance content.

·         Utilize technology platforms to create interactive and digital learning experiences.

·         Revise and update existing curriculum materials based on teacher feedback and student performance data.

·         Maintain consistency in tone, language, and complexity to align with grade-level expectations.

·         Apply research on literacy instruction and assessment best practices to guide content development.

Requirements

·         3+ years of professional experience in curriculum design, instructional development, or educational assessment creation.

·         Strong knowledge of ELA standards, literacy instruction, and assessment strategies.

·         Experience designing lessons and assessments for multiple grade levels, preferably grades 9-12.

·         Familiarity with educational publishing standards and instructional technology tools (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office, LMS platforms, digital curriculum tools).

·         Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

·         Preferred: experience with online learning, e-learning development, digital curriculum design, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and data-driven assessment development.
