This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Strategist, Marketing in the United States.

This is a senior-level marketing strategy role focused on shaping and executing high-impact content and messaging strategies for complex financial and pension solutions markets. You will play a central role in translating business objectives into compelling, research-driven marketing narratives that engage institutional audiences and drive demand. The position operates within a highly collaborative environment, partnering closely with segment marketing, product, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment across business priorities. You will leverage deep industry knowledge and market insights to influence positioning across Defined Benefit, OCIO, LDI, and custody solutions. This role also emphasizes performance measurement, continuous optimization, and storytelling that simplifies complex financial concepts. It is an opportunity to directly influence how sophisticated retirement and investment solutions are positioned in the market.


Accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain differentiated messaging frameworks and content strategies to drive engagement and demand across pension and institutional solutions markets.
  • Translate business and segment objectives into clear marketing strategies, positioning, and content execution plans.
  • Conduct and apply market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend insights to inform strategic marketing direction.
  • Partner with segment marketing teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and messaging strategy.
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance, using insights to refine content and improve future outcomes.
  • Lead storytelling initiatives that simplify complex financial and pension concepts for target institutional audiences.
  • Provide informal leadership and mentorship to marketing peers, supporting consistency and quality across deliverables.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies and internal teams to develop high-quality, impactful marketing materials.
  • Ensure marketing content aligns with regulatory requirements and industry standards for financial services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably within financial services, asset management, or retirement solutions.
  • Strong expertise in pension-related markets, including Defined Benefit (DB), LDI, OCIO, and custody solutions.
  • Deep understanding of modern marketing strategy, content development, and audience segmentation.
  • Proven ability to develop compelling narratives and simplify complex technical or financial information.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and external creative agencies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with strong executive presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
  • Experience in asset management or retirement industries is highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required.
