About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Lead QA Engineer to lead the effort to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. In this role, you will lead testing efforts across manual and automated testing, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and help drive QA best practices across the organization.  This role reports to the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to define test requirements and provide timely, actionable feedback.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
  • Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks for web applications and/or API services.
  • Lead and perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Lead the use of UI for test development in an effective and safe manner.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Track, report, and manage defects through resolution using JIRA.
  • Analyze test results, identify risks, and clearly communicate quality metrics and release readiness.
  • Mentor junior QA team members, conduct code/test reviews, and contribute to establishing and improving QA standards and best practices.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance product quality and team efficiency.

Required Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing, with a strong focus on automation.
  • Solid experience testing web applications and/or APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, REST-assured, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Ability to write clear, concise test documentation and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience mentoring or leading other QA engineers.
