This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of COTA. We are currently looking for a Lead Integrations Engineer in the United States.

This role is a key leadership position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines that power critical business objectives. The Lead Integrations Engineer will collaborate across engineering, product, medical, and operations teams, as well as external partners, to ensure accurate, efficient, and reliable data integration. This position combines technical expertise with team leadership, offering the opportunity to mentor engineers, shape engineering practices, and drive impactful solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has a strong focus on data quality, scalability, and cross-functional problem-solving.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to develop and maintain data pipelines that support business objectives.
  • Design, implement, and optimize ETL processes for efficient data acquisition, mapping, normalization, and storage.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align integration efforts with organizational goals.
  • Ensure high data quality and reliability across systems, proactively identifying and resolving production issues.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies and manage team priorities to maximize output and efficiency.
  • Communicate technical and non-technical requirements clearly with stakeholders and document processes for knowledge sharing.
  • Partner with product teams to define and scope new data initiatives and integration projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines, data storage, and software services.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • 5+ years of experience with backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Professional experience with ETL tools like Mirth (NextGen) or similar services.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or GCP.
  • Proficiency with distributed version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong communication skills, including technical documentation, presentations, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and business problems collaboratively.
  • Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, fostering a positive and productive culture.
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
