This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of SimplePractice. We are currently looking for a Junior Finance Analyst in United States.

We are seeking an early-career Junior Finance Analyst to support financial and marketing analytics in a fast-growing, data-driven environment. In this role, you will contribute to reporting, data analysis, and dashboard management, while gaining hands-on experience in financial planning and marketing performance evaluation. You will work closely with senior finance and analytics team members, supporting projects that optimize budget tracking, ROI reporting, and data quality. This role offers an opportunity to develop technical and analytical skills, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute directly to business decision-making processes.

Accountabilities

·         Perform data extraction, cleaning, and basic analysis using SQL to support finance and marketing initiatives.

·         Assist in creating, updating, and troubleshooting dashboards and visualizations in Tableau.

·         Support marketing ROI reporting, budget variance analysis, and campaign financial performance tracking.

·         Monitor data integrity, identify anomalies, and ensure the accuracy of financial and marketing datasets.

·         Help maintain and document reporting processes, dashboards, and analytical methodologies.

·         Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis as part of the FP&A process.

·         Conduct ad-hoc data pulls and preliminary analysis to support senior team members.

·         Participate in training sessions and gradually take on more complex analytical projects.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing, Economics, Business, or related field.

·         Foundational SQL skills, including SELECT statements, JOINs, aggregations, and filtering.

·         Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and familiarity with at least one ML framework (Python/scikit-learn, R, etc.).

·         Entry-level experience with Tableau, including creating charts, filters, and dashboards.

·         Understanding of relational database concepts and experience working with structured data.

·         Basic Excel and spreadsheet skills for simple financial modeling and calculations.

·         Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

·         Effective communication skills to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
