This role is part of a fast-paced technical support environment focused on delivering reliable software, hardware, and payment processing solutions to business customers. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting both internal systems and customer-facing deployments, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across a variety of technical setups. Acting as a key support point, you will resolve diverse technical issues ranging from software configuration to networking and hardware performance. The position requires strong diagnostic ability and the capacity to manage multiple requests efficiently while maintaining high service quality. You will work closely with both internal teams and external customers to deliver timely, effective solutions. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving across a broad range of IT environments.
Accountabilities:- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software solutions, ensuring proper functionality across customer environments and internal systems.
- Set up, deploy, and support hardware solutions, including installation and maintenance of customer-facing equipment.
- Perform remote monitoring, maintenance, and updates of deployed systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot printing systems and related customer hardware setups.
- Diagnose and resolve networking issues, including TCP/IP connectivity, routing, and general internet communication problems.
- Support payment processing systems, ensuring proper setup, functionality, and issue resolution.
- Provide ongoing technical support to customers by responding to diverse service requests and delivering effective solutions.
Requirements:
- Experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 or later).
- Hands-on experience with PC hardware assembly, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, and internet protocols.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple support requests efficiently.
- Understanding of internet security and data privacy best practices.
- Preferred: experience with POS systems, payment processing hardware, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), VOIP, or help desk tools.
- Certifications such as A+ or Network+ and an Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience are a plus.
