IT Security Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a IT Security Associate based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the security and integrity of enterprise IT systems by supporting the implementation of cybersecurity policies and operational controls. You will help protect critical business assets through user access management, security monitoring, and risk assessment activities while ensuring compliance with established security standards. Working in a collaborative environment, you will partner with technical and business teams to maintain secure access practices and strengthen the organization's cybersecurity posture. The position is well suited for professionals who enjoy combining technical expertise with analytical thinking and process improvement. Accountabilities:

Manage user administration processes, including provisioning, modifying, reviewing, and removing system access based on job roles and security policies.
Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and operational controls across the organization.
Monitor security tools and systems to identify potential threats, investigate security events, and assist in incident response activities.
Conduct risk assessments and contribute to identifying, documenting, and mitigating security risks.
Prepare and maintain risk, control, technical, and process documentation to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security practices and support ongoing cybersecurity initiatives.

Requirements:

Experience in IT security, cybersecurity operations, system administration, or a related technology role.
Understanding of identity and access management principles, including user provisioning and access governance.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar industry standards.
Knowledge of common security tools, monitoring platforms, and security best practices.
Ability to perform risk assessments and document security controls and technical procedures.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning in cybersecurity.
