This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Operations Specialist – West Coast/Mountain Time in United States.
As an IT Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and scaling internal IT systems while providing expert technical support across a fully remote, global environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, maintaining SaaS applications, and implementing IT best practices to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Acting as a key escalation point, you will mentor junior team members, improve operational workflows, and contribute to IT projects spanning upgrades, integrations, and policy rollouts. You will collaborate across technical and business teams, proactively identify recurring issues, and enhance IT processes to support a fast-growing organization. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, security, and user experience for employees across multiple time zones. This position requires technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset in a collaborative remote team environment.
Accountabilities:
• Provide comprehensive hardware and software support for employees, acting as a point of escalation for complex technical issues.
• Maintain, scale, and optimize IT infrastructure, SaaS systems, and applications to ensure high performance and security.
• Implement system updates, patches, and configurations in alignment with IT policies and security best practices.
• Administer specific IT systems and tools, including license management, mobile device management, and remote access platforms.
• Monitor system performance, analyze trends in technical issues, and implement long-term solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and training initiatives.
• Mentor and support junior HelpDesk Administrators, reinforcing best practices and technical knowledge.
• Evaluate and improve IT support processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and security.
• Lead or contribute to IT-focused projects, assisting with tool rollouts, policy implementation, and system improvements.
• Document IT systems, configurations, and procedures, maintaining accurate and accessible records.
• Provide exceptional technical guidance and customer service to end-users across a global remote environment.
Requirements
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, including systems management and senior-level helpdesk support.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware and software issues efficiently.
• Experience maintaining, supporting, and scaling SaaS applications and IT infrastructure components.
• Knowledge of endpoint management, identity & access management (IAM), and Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
• Strong understanding of security best practices for corporate and SaaS environments.
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11, macOS, and Google Workspace.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Experience improving operational workflows, processes, and IT support tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Associate, or Google IT Support Professional are a plus.
