Job Description

We are seeking an IT Enterprise Data Architect to play a critical role in designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide data strategies and architectures across all business divisions of a fast-growing medical technology company. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and will be highly visible within the organization.

This is a home-based role with occasional travel as needed.

Your Role

  • Provide enterprise architecture guidance to IT Architects, facilitate strategic decision-making, and support cohesive architectural solutions across the enterprise.
  • Spearhead assessments of current and future capabilities, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead Business Capability Analysis, ensuring IT strategies align with business, market, and regulatory objectives.
  • Lead enterprise architecture roadmap activities, communicate developments and milestones with stakeholders, and maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) assets aligned with evolving technology landscapes.
  • Manage enterprise architecture risk, mitigate potential compliance/security issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain architecture integrity in a highly regulated environment (FDA, HIPAA, ISO, etc.).
  • Drive enterprise-wide architecture integration across Product and Enterprise IT, ensuring streamlined processes and optimized resources.
  • Guide and mentor other enterprise IT architects to foster skill development and adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver the multi-year enterprise architecture roadmap by aligning long-term architectural goals with yearly planning cycles and compliance frameworks.

You’re the Right Fit If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in IT, Computer Science, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud/Data Architecture, Agile/DevOps, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT solution design, business process management, enterprise architecture, or cloud architecture.
  • TOGAF certification (preferred).
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and able to perform under time-critical conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries, with working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FDA regulations, HIPAA, ISO standards, or equivalent.
  • Strong background in digital transformation, governance, and regulatory-driven change management.
  • Proven ability to bridge business needs with compliant technical solutions in regulated environments.
  • Comfortable working in global, matrixed organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • This role is home-based.
