This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an International Admissions Specialist in the United States.
This role plays a key part in guiding and supporting international students through their full admissions journey into higher education programs. You will act as a primary point of contact for prospective students across multiple countries, helping them navigate application requirements, immigration documentation, and enrollment procedures with clarity and care. Working in a fast-paced, mission-driven academic environment, you will combine customer service, advising, and administrative coordination to ensure a smooth transition for students joining the institution. The position requires strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously. You will also collaborate closely with internal departments such as housing, academic services, and records to support successful onboarding. This is a highly impactful role where your work directly influences student success and access to educational opportunities.
Accountabilities:- Engage with prospective international students via phone, email, and virtual interactions to support enrollment and registration processes
- Guide applicants through the full admissions journey, ensuring completion of required documents such as applications, transcripts, financial records, and immigration forms
- Manage international student records within institutional systems and ensure accurate tracking of admissions workflows
- Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO), maintaining and updating SEVIS records and advising students on visa-related matters
- Educate students on F-1/USCIS regulations, including travel, immigration status, and work authorization requirements
- Coordinate closely with internal departments (housing, academic services, finance, records, IT, and student support) to ensure seamless onboarding
- Participate in orientation and check-in activities for incoming international students as needed
- Communicate updates and announcements to prospective students using CRM tools and mass communication systems
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening abilities
- Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking capabilities
- Experience working with diverse, international populations in a student services or admissions environment
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to motivate and guide individuals through complex processes
- Proficiency with administrative systems and CRM tools (Salesforce experience is a plus)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines and enrollment goals
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Designated School Official (DSO) experience or eligibility is highly preferred
- Bilingual ability is a plus but not required
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
