Position Summary
The People & Culture Intern will support day-to-day People Operations activities across the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on recruiting and onboarding coordination, HR operations, and employee experience initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to core HR processes, systems, and programs, while contributing to projects that strengthen CAQH鈥檚 People practices, culture, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and excited to learn how HR functions in a mission-driven, remote-first organization.
The Intern, People & Culture is a full-time, remote, non-exempt position for an 8-10 week period starting in June and reports to the People Operations Specialist.
Specific Responsibilities
路 Support recruiting operations by coordinating interviews and tracking candidate progress.
路 Assist with onboarding logistics including candidate communications, completing onboarding checklists and supporting new hire experience.
路 Provide general HR administrative support, including updating employee files, maintaining documentation, and assisting with audits.
路 Support HRIS administration tasks such as data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting under guidance of the HR team.
路 Support the refresh and maintenance of the HR SharePoint site, ensuring content reflects updated branding and current information.
路 Assist with updating HR the organizational chart, employee handbook, benefits summary and other documents as needed.
路 Support the development of an internship program.
路 Support the People Experience & Belonging with logistics and initiative coordination.
路 Assist with planning and executing events and meetings for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including scheduling, securing meeting space, material preparation, and follow-up.
路 Help coordinate virtual and in-person employee engagement activities.
路 Contribute to other projects related to employee experience, engagement, and process improvement as needed.
Skills
路 Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
路 Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
路 Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
路 Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with regular collaboration.
路 Able to integrate AI into work tasks such as analyzing data and drafting materials.
Experience
路 Exposure to recruiting and onboarding workflows.
路 Updating and maintaining an internal communications site; SharePoint is a plus.
路 Familiar with HRIS; Rippling is a plus.
路 Familiarity with HR, People Operations, or student employment processes, gained through coursework, internships, or campus roles.
路 Interest in Human Resources, People Operations, or employee experience, with a desire to learn HR systems and processes.
路 Previous internship experience preferred.
Education
路 Degree focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field preferred.
路 Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 degree program, or a recent graduate within the past two years.
