This individual will collaborate with system integrator and provide expertise to ensure the interface or solution design and development meet VA requirements. The Lead will support interface or solution design, development, test, and cutover planning from a technical perspective including technical analysis of interface or solution design artifacts, such as Interface Control Documents.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Gather, collect, and populate data for the VistA and Non-VistA legacy application cutover and transition templates.</li><li>Engage with existing legacy system owners, business owners, and Cerner.</li><li>Manage a portfolio of interfaces and plan timeline for transitioning to sustainment.</li><li>Coordinate and support various meetings, create meeting minutes, track action items, and follow up.</li><li>Create and manage plans for interface decommissioning.</li><li>Identify, remediates/escalates technical challenges, gaps, risks/issues.</li><li>Applies knowledge of routing, filtering, transformation of message traffic through middleware, or data sharing standards, such as HL 7 to create or provide input to technical COAs, architecture and technical documents to drive decision making by government.</li><li>Work independently and solve technical issues under general direction and to prepare briefs for senior government leads.</li><li>Provide input to process design, documentation and improvements as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>15+ years of professional work experience</li><li>Must create strategies and plans for integration of multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained.</li><li>Coordinate with development and user teams to assess risks, goals and needs and ensure that all are adequately addressed.</li><li>Must be experienced in introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks.</li><li>Must be cost conscience as well addressing goals.</li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent or an additional 8 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>VA experience preferred</li><li>Experience implementing Electronic Health Records</li><li>Radiation oncology treatment planning and post processing applications integration</li><li>Dental and dental imaging applications integration</li><li>HL7, FHIR, DICOM Interfaces, APIs</li><li>Millennium configuration and EHR orderable aliasing</li></ul><p><strong>Eligibility:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis</li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance for this role</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><p>Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the candidate’s specific combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.</p><p><strong>Salary range:</strong> $120,000 - $135,000&nbsp;</p><p>Blue Water Thinking offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, federal holidays, and a matching 401K plan.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Our Commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity.</strong></p><p>Blue Water Thinking, LLC (BWT) is committed to equal employment opportunity.
