Pay details:

Pay for this position ranges from $70,000 - $100,000 per year depending on prior related work experience.

Logan Health is seeking an Integration Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of application and data integrations across our systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring data is delivered accurately, efficiently, and securely to support clinical, operational, and analytical needs across the organization.

The Integration Developer will work closely with internal stakeholders to build and optimize data pipelines, support interface technologies, and develop solutions that enhance system performance and data accessibility.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, code, test, and implement data integrations, conversions, reports, and data extraction solutions

  • Design and maintain interfaces, APIs, and integration workflows across multiple systems

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines

  • Support and optimize data pipelines, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes

  • Maintain high standards of data quality and enforce best practices for data handling and integration

  • Troubleshoot and resolve interface and integration issues, including vendor coordination when needed

  • Configure and modify interfaces, API connections, and mapping tables

  • Perform testing in integrated environments, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data flows

  • Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance and resolve data conflicts

  • Participate in and/or lead integration-related projects, including documentation and process improvements

  • Provide ongoing user support and ensure timely communication and issue resolution

  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment to design and support multi-platform integration solutions

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • One of the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

    • Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex business and technical problems

  • Ability to improve system efficiency and support data-driven solutions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with application integration, including APIs

  • Experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers

  • Experience with database design, such as datamarts and data warehousing, building and optimizing data pipelines, extractions, loads, and transformations

  • Familiarity with integration tools such as ETL & SSIS or similar platforms

  • Knowledge of healthcare IT systems and operations

  • Understanding of structured and unstructured healthcare data (e.g., ADT, labs, clinical notes, revenue cycle)

  • Familiarity with healthcare code sets (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC, etc.)

  • Experience with EHR & ERP  

  • Experience with tools and technologies such as SQL, HL7, Rhapsody, SSRS, Visual Basic, SFTP, or middleware solutions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) of the following required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. 

    • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.

  • Experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers required.

  • Analytical skills necessary to analyze business problems, and apply computer technology to resolve them, and/or increase system platform efficiency of information systems required.

  • Minimum of one (1) year progressive experience in application integration (including APIs) preferred.

  • Experience with database design, such as datamarts and data warehousing, building and optimizing data pipelines, extractions, loads, and transformations preferred.

  • Experience with an industry standard integration tool such as SSIS preferred.

  • Working knowledge of healthcare information technology and operations preferred. 

  • Knowledge of both structured and non-structured clinical and operational data formats (i.e. ADT, Labs, Clinical notes, Revenue Cycle), expertise in standard healthcare code sets (i.e. ICD-10, CPT, IMO, SNOMED, LOINC) preferred. Experience with Meditech preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of software development tools and the use across platforms, including one or more of the following technologies: SQL, HL7, Rhapsody, Visual Basic, SSRS, SFTP, networks, application integration, or middleware products preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Develops, codes, tests, and implements system data conversions, reports, customer data extractions, and import solutions.

  • Exhibits high quality customer service and appropriate communication. Follows through on issues and timely escalation of issues per department protocol.

  • Maintains high standards of data quality through the introduction and enforcement of information handling processes and organization of data integration processes.

  • Works with end-user stakeholders to identify project scope, functional requirements, and timelines. Participates in and/or leads projects to include maintaining project timelines, provides appropriate documentation, documents functional requirements, and detailed specifications.

  • Delivers data integration through the implementation of shared databases, modification, and optimization of current systems. Responsible for the exchange and storing of data and recommends upgrades or changes to maintain smooth operations.

  • Develops strategies for data integration processes, develops a standard system, identifies areas with optimization potential, integrating the most effective tools and setting deadlines.

  • Optimizes data warehouse performance by dealing with data conflicts that arise. Performs routine maintenance per department protocol.

  • Provides user support to include, but not limited to configuring interfaces, modifying interface code, building or modifying API’s and interface mapping tables, troubleshooting, reporting issues to vendors, and effectively executing downtime procedures.

  • Executes testing in an integrated environment while incorporating quality management concepts such as auditing, accurate testing scenarios, and follow through.

  • Works in a team environment to design, develop, implement, and support multi-platform application interface solutions and services to clients using integration engine or tools.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
