Position: Instructor/Trainer 

(Instructor-led training for Crane, Rigging and Industrial Maintenance)

Travel Required (must be based within 2 hours of an International Airport):

This is a full-time, salaried role delivering in person, instructor-led training for clients.  This position requires frequent (weekly) travel outside of home-location requiring air travel that may extend to 3-6 days at a time, and occasionally longer.  Will require out of state assignments, and may receive overseas assignments.  Possess (or be able to obtain) and maintain a travel passport. 


Instructors serve as company ambassadors and are expected to depart for assignments weekly (typically Sunday through Thursday/Friday).


ITI operates training centers in the following locations: Woodland, WA; Cleveland, OH; Memphis, TN; Lakeland, FL; Pasadena, TX.  Some training sessions will be conducted out of our training centers and some will be onsite at client locations.  


Experience Required:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a construction and/or industrial environment (preferably in the industries of our customer base) with a variety of crafts and team member roles, and 5 years of experience directly conducting, managing, or planning one of the following activity sets: 

  • Rigging loads with cranes, inspecting rigging, signaling.
  • Operating, inspecting, and/or maintaining cranes. 
  • Lift planning, directing lifts, lift plan review and safety/risk assessments of lifting activities.
  • Preferably with leadership role experience with training experience. 


Previous training or adult education experience is not required for this role. Completion of a two-month onboarding process will be provided before teaching independently.

What you’ll do: 

  • Deliver training services at various locations, including travel assignments that may require being away from home for 3-6 days at a time.
  • Prepare for programs through self-study of training materials, including mastering new content to earn additional sign-offs.
  • Work flexible hours and days to accommodate training assignments and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate with clients to confirm program details, address questions or concerns, and ensure clarity before and during delivery.
  • Coordinate with the sales team and other instructors to gather additional information and ensure smooth, successful program execution.

Requirements:

  • Previous formal training or adult education experience is not required for this role. 
  • Willingness and ability to meet travel requirements. 
  • Proficient in proactive travel planning, effective client communication, and precise documentation to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Skilled in self-directed learning, mastering new content, and delivering clear, engaging, and impactful presentations.
  • Demonstrates strong administrative accuracy, completing all required paperwork on time and to high standards.
  • Committed to professional growth, staying current in technical skills, instructional methods, and industry best practices.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without stipulations and be residents of the United States.
  • Following the offer of employment, all roles will require  a background check and a drug and alcohol test.  Some positions may require other verifications, such as, driver eligibility and record, credentials or education.  All new hires will be required to complete the I-9 Form and E-verify process upon employment. 


Pay:  $85k-$95k + eligible for a quarterly bonus
