You will work closely with clinicians, operational leaders, and technical teams to analyze workflows, design system improvements, and optimize electronic health record functionality. The position plays a key role in translating clinical and business needs into safe, efficient, and user-centered technology solutions. Operating in a highly collaborative healthcare environment, you will support both system-wide initiatives and targeted improvements that enhance patient care and caregiver experience. You will also contribute to implementation efforts, training, and adoption of clinical applications while driving continuous process improvement. Accountabilities:- Analyze clinical and operational workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and translate findings into optimized EHR and health IT solutions.
- Design and support functional system configurations and enhancements aligned with clinical best practices and safety standards.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical users and technical teams to ensure effective solution design and implementation.
- Lead or support complex informatics projects, including system implementations, optimizations, and adoption initiatives.
- Conduct workflow observations in clinical settings to assess real-world usage and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support training, change management, and user adoption efforts across healthcare teams.
- Contribute to data-driven decision-making by analyzing workflow data, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Ensure system design aligns with functional architecture, security, and healthcare compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in clinical or healthcare informatics, including workflow analysis, gap analysis, usability assessments, and system optimization.
- Strong background working with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms.
- Experience applying informatics principles (people, process, technology) to improve quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or support complex healthcare IT projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clinicians, executives, and technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and process redesign in healthcare environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Clinical background or licensure (for applicable roles such as RN) preferred and must be maintained if required.
