The HR Coordinator will plan an integral part of the HR and People Team. As Flock continues to grow, the requests coming into the People team also grow. Our goal is to provide timely resolutions not only for our internal stakeholders but externally as well. The HR Coordinator will support the HR team by owning the New Hire Onboarding process from start to finish, partnering cross-functionally with internal onboarding partners, managing employment verification requests and I9 verifications, and providing tier 1 support within the People Inbox for benefits-related inquiries. The HR Coordinator will partner with the Director of People Operations, HR Generalist, and the HRBPs in various aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding, benefits administration, HR Compliance, and ongoing needs as an employee becomes more tenured at Flock.
Bachelor's Degree
1 year of experience in HR/People Operations environment in a fast-paced, start-up environment or HR Internship
Effective communication skills that will enable others to understand your thinking while going above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Basic knowledge of employment law and compliance is preferred
Familiarity with HR processes, systems, and toolsÂ
High attention to detail, ensuring critical employee data is always correctÂ
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while managing multiple projects and maintaining a high level of productivity and qualityÂ
Ability to proactively problem-solve, identify challenges, and partner with stakeholders to implement solutionsÂ
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

The First 30 Days
Fully manage the Pre-Employment Process of a New Hire Class, including data uploads from ATS to HRIS, new hire communications, pre-employment screening, internal communications, follow-up, and I9 verifications
Establish relationships with the New Hire Onboarding StakeholdersÂ
Effectively communicate and manage the pre-employment screening steps (MVR/Background Check/Drug Test) process from start to finishÂ
Fully maintain the New Hire Checklist used company-wide and become the expert as it relates to all the steps with internal and external business partners for a successful new hire classÂ
Own the collection and submission for Monday recurring People Data requests (headcount trackers, eligibility files for benefits, new hire checklist data, etc)
The First 60 DaysÂ
Begin to manage portions of the People Inbox that fall within your scope and provide responses within 24 hoursÂ
Organize and create canned responses for repetitive questions while leveraging our current self-service resources and creating new resources where needed
Be the primary contact for all HR administrative requests and paperwork
Be the primary point of contact for all VOE, Unemployment, Confirmation of Benefits, and other various HR Paperwork requestsÂ
Audit the New Hire Onboarding communications alongside internal partners and teams such as Recruiting, Employee Experience, and various other Organization Onboarding teams.Â
Manage New Hire Harassment Training and completionsÂ
90 Days & BeyondÂ
Own the People Team's Workvivo page and refresh pages where necessary
Partner with our Internal Communications Team and Benefit Advocates/Partners on recurring benefit internal communicationsÂ
Own Tier 1 benefit questions that come into the People Inbox and leverage resources in Workvivo to create FAQs for frequently asked questions that fall within the Coordinator’s scope
Become proficient in Rippling Insurance & tier 1 issues, and have the ability to problem-solve or know when to tag in external resources
Become proficient in Rippling Data Management as it relates to New HiresÂ
Partnering with IT to receive all equipment from terminated employees

The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.
In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $65,000 - $80,000 as well as stock options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
