Accountabilities:- Analyze, design, and support HIM system processes, workflows, and document management solutions across clinical and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with medical group clinics and operational teams to implement HIM standards and ensure compliance with organizational requirements.
- Provide training, auditing, and ongoing support to ensure consistent adoption of HIM policies and procedures.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and feedback summaries to support clinic leadership and operational decision-making.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into system and workflow solutions in collaboration with technical and HIM teams.
- Support clinic acquisitions and new site implementations (de novos), ensuring smooth HIM system integration.
- Monitor HIM processes and identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis and operational review.
- Maintain detailed documentation of workflows, systems, and project activities to support transparency and continuity.
- Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication and stakeholder alignment.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Informatics, or related healthcare field preferred.
- RHIT or RHIA certification preferred.
- Experience in Health Information Management systems, healthcare IT, or clinical information management required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess workflows and identify improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and general computer systems.
- Experience with requirements gathering, workflow design, and business process analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across clinical and administrative teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel for site visits as needed.
- Understanding of healthcare operations and HIM compliance standards is highly valued.
