Accountabilities:
  • Analyze, design, and support HIM system processes, workflows, and document management solutions across clinical and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with medical group clinics and operational teams to implement HIM standards and ensure compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Provide training, auditing, and ongoing support to ensure consistent adoption of HIM policies and procedures.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and feedback summaries to support clinic leadership and operational decision-making.
  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into system and workflow solutions in collaboration with technical and HIM teams.
  • Support clinic acquisitions and new site implementations (de novos), ensuring smooth HIM system integration.
  • Monitor HIM processes and identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis and operational review.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of workflows, systems, and project activities to support transparency and continuity.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication and stakeholder alignment.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Informatics, or related healthcare field preferred.
  • RHIT or RHIA certification preferred.
  • Experience in Health Information Management systems, healthcare IT, or clinical information management required.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess workflows and identify improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and general computer systems.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, workflow design, and business process analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across clinical and administrative teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for site visits as needed.
  • Understanding of healthcare operations and HIM compliance standards is highly valued.
