Marvin is on a mission to end burnout for healthcare professionals and improve the wellbeing of clinicians everywhere. Marvin partners with many of the country’s top-ranked hospitals including Cedars-Sinai and UCLA in Los Angeles, Jefferson Health and Geisinger in Pennsylvania, and the Harvard Department of Psychiatry, to provide a proprietary mental health care platform for their physicians, nurses, and staff. Services such as confidential teletherapy, educational resources, and workshops allow hospitals to reduce burnout, improve mental health outcomes, and enhance staff retention leading to clinician well-being as well as overall effectiveness and resilience of healthcare organizations.

Role Overview

Marvin is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to work closely with our CEO, executive team, and board to deliver key insights that drive strategic planning and operational efficiency. A successful leader will be someone that thrives in fast-paced environments, is deeply analytical, and has a passion for building digital health platforms that improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Own and evolve the company’s financial model, including scenario planning and fundraising support

  • Lead monthly forecasting and budget-to-actuals reporting across departments

  • Develop detailed revenue models and pipeline analytics in partnership with GTM leaders

  • Track key business KPIs, including revenue growth, CAC, LTV, and cash conversion cycles.

  • Partner cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to forecast enrollment and retention

  • Lead special projects in collaboration with the Marvin CEO to impact key business drivers.

  • Build dashboards and reporting to inform internal teams and the board

  • Support pricing strategy and packaging analysis based on customer data and trends

  • Collaborate with Product and Clinical Operations to support budget management

  • Prepare materials for board meetings, investors and strategic partners

  • Stand up scalable finance processes, systems, and internal controls

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting and/or high-growth startups

  • Experience in early stage startups, digital health, or healthcare services is preferred

  • Fluency in financial modeling and forecasting, with deep Excel/Google Sheets, NetSuite, and Jirav expertise

  • Familiarity with B2B2C financial models, including core operational metrics around LTV/ CAC

  • Deep familiarity revenue cycle management and insurance payer billing, including reimbursement timelines and insurance fee schedules

  • Comfortable analyzing sales pipelines and working cross functionally with GTM teams

  • Demonstrated ability to build and operate independently in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Excellent communication skills - able to synthesize and present complex ideas to stakeholders

  • Proactive, detail oriented, and excited to build foundational infrastructure
