Reporting directly to Extend’s EVP and General Counsel, this person will serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the executive team to ensure Extend attracts, develops and retains world-class talent. The company has a small, but strong team in place with open headcount to enable the Head of People to level up the function. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Create a world-class people and talent strategy that aligns with the vision, mission and corporate strategy of the company and drives a high-performance culture.</li><li>Lead all aspects of the function, including talent acquisition, communications, people operations, performance management, compensation & benefits, retention, leave and more.</li><li>Define, develop and deploy a system for ongoing measurement of employee engagement and driving proactive steps to increase employee engagement and retention.</li><li>Create business-oriented policies and procedures for the HR function that drive clarity and transparency for managers and employees.</li><li>Implement the right systems and processes that enable scale, such as career planning, onboarding, training, leveling, performance management, etc.</li><li>Provide active guidance and partnership to leadership on how human capital strategies can support hitting their business goals.</li></ul><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Professional Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Proven action- and solution-oriented HR leader with the ability to operate effectively in both strategic and hands-on environments.</li><li>Experience adding critical value at the executive level as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team preferred.</li><li>Strong business acumen and ability to proactively tie the People strategy and programs to the company’s business needs.</li><li>Prior experience building, developing and mentoring high-performing teams in a high-performance and fast-paced environment, ideally including within the tech industry.</li><li>Excellent organizational and management skills with a high level of attention to detail.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in HR strategy, talent development, recruiting and building teams.</li><li>Experience in scaling organizational systems and people operations processes (e.g. onboarding, employee experience/satisfaction and performance management) at high-growth companies.</li><li>Expertise in HR IS systems and workflows, benefits programs, total rewards and compensation, employment regulation and other relevant subject matter.</li></ul><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Personal Characteristics:</strong></p><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Direct, clear, concise and exceptional communicator.</li><li>High IQ & EQ with excitement to hit the ground running.</li><li>Bias towards action, accountability and proactivity with an ownership mentality.</li><li>Solutions-oriented strong problem solver willing to roll up sleeves.</li><li>An entrepreneurial mindset.</li><li>People-focused and collaborative leader.</li><li>Strong ability to influence.</li></ul><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Expected Pay Range: </strong>$225,000 - $265,000 per year salaried*</p><p style="text-align: justify;">* The target base salary range for this position is listed above.
