Job Summary


Shape the Future of Healthcare Solutions as the Head of Marketing 


This position serves as a strategic and results-driven Head of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and drive value for UHIN and our customers. This role is unique, offering a rewarding opportunity to focus on four critical and highly impactful areas: 


  1. Marketing Strategy, 
  2. Go-to-Market (GTM), 
  3. Marketing Campaigns, and 
  4. Engaging Content & Communications


The ideal candidate is a can-do leader who can balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution across the entire marketing spectrum. This role requires a proven leader with strong business acumen, stakeholder management, customer engagement, and a deep understanding of this business sector, including understanding of the landscape and how to set ourselves a part in the interoperability space. This role will have direct reports.



Qualifications - Education, Experience and Skills

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • [8+] years of progressive marketing experience, with at least [5+] years in a leadership role, preferably in the healthcare information technology space - B2B (e.g., working for a clearinghouse, revenue cycle management company, medical billing service, or an EHR/PMS vendor focused on billing)
  • Proven track record of success in defining and executing GTM strategies that have resulted in significant impact to the company and value to customers.
  • Deep expertise across the four key focus areas: Product Marketing/Strategy, Go-to-Market execution, Performance/Campaign Marketing, and Content/Communications.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable using data to drive decision-making and make marketing relevant.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire a team and collaborate effectively with executive and cross-functional partners (business development, operations, product, finance).
  • Fluency in modern marketing technology (MarTech) stacks (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools).


Job Responsibilities & Duties

What You'll Do:

1. Market Strategy 

  • Serve as the "voice of the customer" and expert on market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to inform product direction and positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Ops, and Business Development to translate market insights and customer needs into requirements and opportunities for the product roadmap, especially around the 4P’s of marketing.
  • Develop and refine optimal pricing and packaging strategies that maximize market value for UHIN and our customers, drive growth, and financial sustainability.
  • Define, articulate, and socialize clear, compelling, and differentiated value propositions for all products and associated features & benefits.

2. Go-to-Market 

  • Own the planning, execution, and success of all product launches, including relaunches, and market expansion initiatives. This includes defining target audiences, core messaging, and channel strategy.
  • Arm the business development with impactful tools, collateral, presentations, competitive analysis, and training to effectively articulate the product's value and to close deals.
  • Strategically define and optimize the entire customer journey, including supporting and helping prospects and potential clients make progress as they seek solutions to their problems. This includes education and advocacy opportunities, areas for account based marketing and direct response marketing.
  • Assist with RFP and Grant responses.  Help business development with lead gen and outreach.

3. Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop, execute, and manage integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns (e.g., digital advertising, email marketing, earned and paid media, events) to drive brand awareness, engagement, and customer acquisition.
  • Own the marketing budget, ensuring spend is allocated effectively to channels and campaigns with the highest return on investment (ROI). Implement rigorous tracking and reporting to demonstrate marketing's impact on business goals.
  • Institute a culture of continuous A/B testing and performance optimization across all campaigns and channels to improve conversion rates and lower customer acquisition costs (CAC).
  • Ensure the marketing calendar is up to date, impactful, and collaborative. 

4. Engaging Content & Communications

  • Define and oversee the creation of a useful content strategy (e.g., blog posts, white papers, case studies, webinars, videos, website copy) that attracts, educates, and “next action” (call to action) CTA for target buyers at every stage of the journey.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent, compelling, and authentic brand voice and narrative across all touchpoints, ensuring market differentiation and strong brand recognition.
  • Develop and manage proactive communications strategies, including community & public relations, speaking engagements, and social media presence, to position UHIN and its leadership as industry thought leaders.
