Head of Finance

Role Summary Steadfast Health is seeking a dynamic, metrics-driven Head of Finance to lead our financial strategy, reporting, and operations as we scale best-in-class addiction treatment clinics. This leader will oversee FP&A, revenue cycle, and accounting, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution. They will partner closely with the CEO, executive team, and Board to build the reporting and insights necessary to scale brick-and-mortar operations while ensuring mission alignment, financial rigor, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong FP&A foundation and proven success in multi-site or brick-and-mortar healthcare environments. They bring a sharp analytical toolkit to drive resource allocation, performance measurement, and growth. As a true player/coach, they are equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to refine models and frameworks as they are building and mentoring a high-performing finance team. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Strategy <ul><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, executive team, Board, and investors. </li><li>Lead long-range planning, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to guide growth. </li><li>Drive annual budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with company priorities. </li></ul>Financial Reporting & Analytics <ul><li>Define and oversee the financial reporting frameworks and dashboards needed for scale (technical team builds; this leader sets the standards). </li><li>Partner with Operations and Clinical leaders on metrics, OKRs, and performance reviews. </li><li>Deliver clear, actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and profitability. </li><li>Assess the financial viability and ROI of new services, programs, and site expansions. </li></ul>Brick-and-Mortar Scale <ul><li>Bring proven experience navigating the complexities of high-volume, multi-site healthcare or services operations. </li><li>Apply strong financial acumen to optimize site-level performance, cost structures, and scalability.  </li><li>Develop site level analytics to assess growth markets and de novo clinic unit economics.  </li></ul>Revenue Cycle, Accounting & Treasury Oversight  <ul><li>Oversee revenue cycle management, billing, and collections. Ensure accurate, timely financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance. </li><li>Partner with external accounting/tax resources and manage treasury functions. </li></ul>Team Leadership & Talent Development <ul><li>Build, mentor, and scale a finance team that combines healthcare financial expertise with analytical rigor. </li><li>Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, accountability, and collaboration across clinical and operational teams. </li></ul>Qualifications Required <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or master's degree preferred). </li><li>7-10+ years in finance leadership roles, ideally in healthcare, behavioral health, or other multi-site brick-and-mortar environments. </li><li>Deep FP&A experience with proven ability to design and manage reporting frameworks, dashboards, and key financial metrics. </li><li>Strong grasp of healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle dynamics. </li><li>Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills. Comfortable interpreting data, spotting trends, and framing insights. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence, present, and partner effectively with senior leadership and Boards. </li><li>Track record of leading high-performing teams and scaling finance functions. </li></ul>Preferred <ul><li>Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or other value-based healthcare models. </li><li>Prior exposure to private equity or venture-backed growth environments. </li><li>Comfort operating in an early-stage, fast-scaling context where systems and processes are still being built. </li></ul>Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
