About This Opportunity

As a Hardware Engineer, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Hapn’s hardware systems, contributing directly to our mission of revolutionizing asset management. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Documentation: Develop and maintain clear, detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to support traceability and product quality.
  • Firmware Validation: Test firmware across diverse hardware platforms to ensure functionality, performance, and stability.
  • Hardware Validation: Perform comprehensive hardware tests to identify issues, optimize performance, and verify system reliability.
  • Field Testing: Conduct real-world hardware evaluations, collecting and analyzing data to confirm durability and operational success.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and firmware failures, leveraging analytical skills to drive effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Partner with R&D teams to refine designs and enhance product performance based on test insights.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data logging tools to capture test results and produce actionable reports for continuous improvement.
  • Test Management: Track testing progress and iterations using version control and test management systems.
  • Customer Insights: Incorporate field test and customer feedback to recommend hardware and firmware enhancements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in hardware and firmware testing for embedded systems or IoT devices.
  • Proven track record of executing field testing in rugged or industrial environments (e.g., construction, logistics, or manufacturing settings).
  • Experience with wireless communication protocols (e.g., GPS, Bluetooth, LTE, or LoRa) relevant to IoT hardware.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing test data.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C for test automation and data processing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).


Preferred Qualifications:
Significant experience with Queclink, Teletonika, CalAmp or Suntech devices is a major advantage.
