Accountabilities:

The Grant Writer will be responsible for developing high-quality grant applications and supporting funding strategies that advance organizational goals. This role requires strong writing, research, and collaboration skills to transform program information into compelling proposals for potential funders.

Write clear, persuasive, and engaging content for grant proposals and funding submissions.
Collaborate with grant leadership and program teams to identify proposal concepts, opportunities, and organizational needs.
Develop grant applications that effectively communicate mission, objectives, strategies, and expected outcomes.
Work with internal stakeholders to collect relevant program details, impact data, and supporting materials.
Research grant opportunities and remain informed about funding requirements, deadlines, and application processes.
Prepare and submit accurate grant proposals within established timelines.
Maintain organized records of grant submissions, applications, and funding outcomes.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to ongoing grant development activities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience in grant writing, research, and nonprofit-focused storytelling. They should be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing independent work while collaborating with a distributed team.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, nonprofit management, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in grant writing, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Strong research and writing abilities, with the capacity to create compelling narratives aligned with organizational goals.
Familiarity with grant application processes, funding requirements, and proposal development.
Ability to understand programs, initiatives, and funding priorities to create effective submissions.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and deadline management.
Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills when working with cross-functional teams.
Previous experience writing successful grant proposals is preferred.
