Who We Are

International Justice Mission (IJM) is the global leader in protecting vulnerable people from violence around the world. Our team of over 1,200 professionals are at work worldwide in over 30 offices. Together we are on a mission to rescue millions, protect half a billion, and make justice unstoppable.

We are a global community that cares for one another. We believe that the way we work is as important as the results we achieve. We provide professional excellence with joy and celebration to all those we serve.

The Need

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Campaign Director, Strategic Partnership.

As IJM accelerates its mission to rescue 1 million people and protect 300 million from violence, we are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Vice President of Mass Market Engagement to lead and grow IJM’s mass audience revenue. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated strategies that drive lead generation, acquisition, retention, and supporter experience through mass channels.

This leader will be responsible for revenue generation across all mass market products, offers, and campaigns—including monthly giving, one-time donations, seasonal campaigns, and advocacy moments—and will steward the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for the U.S. while collaborating globally to accelerate scalable mass engagement.

The VP will bring a marketer’s mindset and a revenue leader’s discipline, using data, creativity, and operational excellence to build a world-class supporter experience that fuels long-term impact.

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

Responsibilities

Mass Market Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Lead the vision, planning, and execution of IJM’s mass market fundraising strategy to drive scalable revenue across all mass audience segments.

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for the U.S., including campaign roadmaps, segmentation, testing plans, and product positioning.

  • Evaluate performance across all products and channels, identifying opportunities to scale high-performing offers both nationally and globally.

  • Ensure all mass campaigns are aligned with IJM’s brand, mission, and global marketing framework.

Donor Journey Growth & Optimization

  • Design and optimize the full supporter journey—from lead generation through conversion, retention, and loyalty—to increase lifetime value.

  • Lead strategies for acquisition (email, paid media, partnerships, advocacy, influencer), onboarding, monthly giving growth, and donor satisfaction.

  • Build and scale upgrade, renewal, and reactivation strategies to improve donor retention across all mass engagement streams.

  • Integrate behavior- and insight-driven messaging to deliver personalized experiences and deepen engagement.

Campaigns, Offers & Product Development

  • Own the creation, innovation, and performance of IJM’s mass market fundraising products and seasonal campaigns.

  • Lead the development and rapid testing of new giving formats, pricing models, and incentive strategies.

  • Collaborate with Creative, Brand, and Digital teams to ensure offers are emotionally compelling, easy to understand, and optimized for conversion.

  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to share best practices, tools, and creative assets that scale mass engagement globally.

  • Contribute to global strategy discussions on donor segmentation, channel integration, and mass engagement innovation.

  • Influence campaign alignment across IJM regions to ensure a consistent and effective supporter experience.

Data, Performance & Insights

  • Partner with data and analytics teams to define KPIs, track performance, and build dashboards for real time reporting.

  • Use insights from segmentation, journey analytics, and audience feedback to drive performance and continuous improvement.

  • Lead A/B testing and performance reviews to refine messaging, timing, and channel mix.

  • Champion data-informed decision-making across all campaign and engagement strategies.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team across campaign management, acquisition, retention, and supporter experience.

  • Foster a collaborative, mission-aligned, and performance-driven team culture.

  • Manage agency and platform partners that support media buying, creative development, supporter care and campaign execution.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Digital, Development, and Global teams to drive integration and accountability.
