About the Role

We’re seeking Genetic Health Coaches at varying levels of experience to join our team and help consumers understand their whole genome sequencing data. In this role, you'll conduct one-on-one coaching sessions, translating complex genetic information into actionable insights that empower our customers to make informed decisions about their health.

This position requires someone who can bridge the gap between genomics and everyday understanding. The ability to explain what genetic results mean, what they don't mean, and how customers can use this information responsibly is key in this role. Entry-level role ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals

What You'll Do

Customer Coaching & Education

• Conduct personalized coaching sessions with customers about their whole genome sequencing results. This is a high-volume, customer-facing role with daily Zoom sessions.

• Explain complex genetic concepts in accessible, understandable terms for diverse audiences

• Address customer questions and concerns with empathy, accuracy, and patience

• Guide customers through the interpretation of their genomic data while emphasizing appropriate limitations

Communication & Support

• Build trust and rapport with customers from varied backgrounds and levels of scientific literacy

• Adapt communication style to match each customer's knowledge level and learning preferences

• Provide clear explanations of what genetic data can and cannot tell us

• Create a supportive environment where customers feel comfortable asking questions

Learning & Development

• Participate in hands-on training from experienced coaches

• Receive ongoing mentorship and feedback to develop expertise in genetics interpretation

• Collaborate with internal teams to share insights from users

• Contribute to the development of educational resources and coaching materials

• Stay current with developments in genomics and genetic testing

What We're Looking

For Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Genetics, or a closely related life sciences field (all levels) OR a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling, a PhD in Genetics, Genomics, or a closely related life sciences field (advanced levels)

• Strong foundational understanding of human genetics, inheritance patterns, genomic testing, and variant interpretation

• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly

• Genuine empathy and patience when working with people who may be anxious about their results

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while being warm and supportive

• This role is open at multiple levels. Final level, scope, and compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and demonstrated ability to communicate genomic information responsibly.

Ideal Background

• Clinical experience or training in genetic counseling, clinical genetics, medical genomics, or related healthcare fields

• Familiarity with whole genome sequencing technology, variant analysis, and interpretation frameworks (ACMG/AMP guidelines a plus)

• Experience teaching, coaching, or educating non-scientists about complex scientific or medical information

• Experience creating educational content or curriculum materials

• Comfort with both the scientific details and the human side of genetic information

Personal Qualities

• Passionate about making genomics accessible and understandable

• Skilled at meeting people where they are in their understanding

• Detail-oriented with strong scientific accuracy

• Comfortable with ambiguity and explaining scientific limitations

• Collaborative team player who values diverse perspectives

Work Environment

• Full-time position

• Fully remote

• Collaborative team environment focused on customer education and product improvement.

Why Join Us
