About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level HCM Consultant to join PARA Consulting’s HCM implementation team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience documenting business processes, creating UAT scripts, and supporting end-to-end HCM implementations. You will work closely with senior consultants and technical teams, assisting in requirement gathering, testing, and go-live readiness.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, structured, collaborative, and comfortable working directly with clients and providing top tier service.

What You’ll Do

  • Support HCM implementations by gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Develop clear and structured process documentation and testing materials.
  • Execute UAT testing and ensure test scripts are validated and traceable.
  • Participate in client meetings, system demos, and go-live support.
  • Contribute to internal best practices and knowledge documentation.
  • Translate business needs into logical system configurations and workflows.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst.
  • Experience working with HCM platforms (Rippling, Workday, UKG, ADP, etc.).
  • Experience in creating documentation, UAT test scripts, and process mapping.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into functional system configurations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

(Not required but will make you stand out.)

  • 2+ years of experience leading or coordinating small project workstreams or teams.
  • Experience in multi-country HR system implementations or environments with complex workflows.
  • Expertise in HR concepts and workflows (benefits, time tracking, payroll processes).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

A Day in the Life

You log in and start your day by syncing with the team on priorities and project updates before jumping into a client discovery call where you dive deep into their HR, payroll, and benefits challenges. After translating their needs into actionable requirements, you shift into configuration mode building test scripts and setting up scalable system solutions that align with their unique workflows.

Your afternoon might find you leading a stakeholder validation session, walking through test results and gathering feedback to ensure everything meets expectations. Between meetings, you're proactively coordinating with cross-functional teams, removing blockers, and driving action items to keep multiple client projects moving forward simultaneously.

As both strategic advisor and hands-on implementer, you balance big-picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail whether you're guiding a client through change management, troubleshooting a complex payroll configuration, or ensuring a smooth go-live. You wrap up your day knowing that your expertise and dedication have moved each client one step closer to a successful implementation, delivered with precision and care.
