Clarity Pediatrics is reimagining pediatric chronic care, starting with ADHD. Nearly 10% of children in the US are diagnosed with ADHD, and for parents, finding the right care can feel impossible. We're building a virtual pediatric ADHD clinic that delivers trusted, science-backed care to all families โ and it's working. We have strong product-market fit, a growing patient base, and a clear path to expanding into other common chronic conditions like asthma, allergies, and obesity.
Our leadership team has deep healthcare expertise. Our CEO has led two startups to >$100M in ARR and profitability. Our Chief Medical Officer trained at UCSF and Stanford and previously built specialty care services at Kaiser Permanente. Clarity is female-led โ our CEO, Head of Engineering, and product leadership are all women building a company where diverse perspectives drive better care and better technology.
We've raised $10M in seed capital from top VCs who have backed category-defining health-tech companies like One Medical, Hims, Spring Health, Cityblock, Honor, and Tia.
This is a rare combination: a mission-driven company with proven traction, a small team where your work is immediately visible, and a genuine mandate to push AI forward โ not as a buzzword, but as a core part of how we build and what we ship.
You'll have outsized impact. On a small engineering team at a Series A company, every person moves the needle. You'll own meaningful product areas end-to-end, ship directly to patients and clinicians, and see the results of your work in real care outcomes.
You'll grow fast. At a small startup, you don't specialize โ you get exposure to frontend, backend, infrastructure, and product thinking. You'll develop skills here that bigger companies simply can't teach you, with senior engineers and leadership invested in your growth.
You'll work AI-forward. AI is central to our roadmap โ both in how we build and what we ship. You'll use AI tools daily, learn what's possible, and contribute to how AI shows up across our product and our engineering practice.
Web: Next.js (React), TypeScript, Modern CSS
Backend: Node.js / Next API Routes
Data: PostgreSQL, Redis
Testing: Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Github Actions
Infrastructure: Aptible (Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus)
Own Features End-to-End: Take a loosely defined problem โ a gap in the patient experience, a clinician workflow that's too manual, an internal tool that doesn't exist yet โ and drive it from requirements through development and delivery. You'll collaborate directly with product and clinical stakeholders to ship high-impact work.
Build Across the Stack: Develop features across our patient-facing apps, pediatrician dashboards, and internal clinical tools. You'll go where the problem takes you and build confidence across the full stack along the way.
Use AI to Move Faster and Think Bigger: We're using AI to transform both what we build and how we build it. You'll use AI tools to accelerate your workflow, experiment with new approaches, and help the team learn what works. Share what you find โ we all get better together.
Contribute to Technical Quality: Help improve our engineering processes โ CI/CD, code quality, testing strategy, API and database design. You'll learn how these decisions are made and increasingly have a voice in shaping them.
Move Fast, Stay Secure: Ship high-velocity code while maintaining the rigorous security and privacy standards required for HIPAA-compliant healthcare.
Learn, Share, Improve: Actively invest in your own growth and share what you learn with the team. Ask good questions, give thoughtful code reviews, and contribute to a culture where everyone gets better.
Experienced Across the Stack: You have 3-5 years of experience with proficiency in at least one of our core technologies โ Next.js, TypeScript, React, or Node.js. You're comfortable working across both the frontend and backend, or genuinely eager to build that range. We care more about your curiosity and problem-solving ability than the exact number of years on your resume.
A Problem-Solver at Heart: You're comfortable with ambiguity. You can take sparse requirements, ask the right questions, and drive work from "what do we need?" to shipped outcome. When you hit a wall, you find a way through โ whether that means researching, asking for help, or trying a different approach.
AI-Native: You already use AI to accelerate your workflow, and you're genuinely excited to push the boundaries. You'll experiment, share what works, and help the team adopt new tools and approaches alongside you.
Mission-Driven: You want your work to matter. You care about building something that helps kids and families, not just shipping features. The mission isn't a nice-to-have for you โ it's a reason to show up.
Growth-Oriented: You seek out feedback, invest in getting better, and believe that how you work matters as much as what you ship. You're drawn to a team that values continuous improvement.
Collaborative and Proactive: You thrive in a remote environment where communication is clear, initiative is expected, and the mission is the North Star.
Bonus โ Regulated Industry Experience: You've worked in HealthTech, FinTech, or similar spaces and understand that security and privacy aren't afterthoughts.
Meaningful Impact: Your code will directly improve the lives of children and parents navigating chronic conditions.
Female-Led, Mission-Driven Culture: Clarity as a company and our engineering and product teams are led by women. We've built a culture where diverse perspectives are the norm, not the exception โ and where that translates into better care and better technology.
Accelerated Growth: On a small team at an early-stage company, you'll learn faster and take on more responsibility than you would at a bigger company. We invest in our people and create space for you to stretch.
Autonomy and Trust: We hire people we trust and then get out of their way. You'll have the freedom to make decisions, take risks, and move fast โ with the support of a team that has your back.
Growth and Improvement: We invest in people getting better. Continuous learning, honest feedback, and raising the bar together are part of how we operate โ not just values on a wall.
Equity with Upside: Competitive salary plus meaningful equity in a high-growth, venture-backed company with proven product-market fit. Early enough that your stake matters.
Flexible Remote Culture: Work from anywhere in the US.
Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and flexible PTO.
