About Clarity Pediatrics

Clarity Pediatrics is reimagining pediatric chronic care, starting with ADHD. Nearly 10% of children in the US are diagnosed with ADHD, and for parents, it can feel impossible to find the right care. We are building a virtual pediatric ADHD clinic that delivers trusted care to all families. Our new clinical model is tech-enabled, backed by the best science, and has the potential to deliver exceptional health outcomes to transform a child’s trajectory. In the future, our pediatric care platform will expand rapidly to other common chronic conditions like asthma, allergies, and obesity.

Our co-founders and leadership team have deep domain expertise in healthcare. Our CEO has led two startups to >$100M in ARR and profitability. Our Chief Medical Officer trained at UCSF and Stanford. Until recently, he was a Medical Director building specialty care services at Kaiser Permanente. Earlier, he worked at IDEO. Our Behavioral Health team is led by expert psychologists who have trained at children’s hospitals and academic medical centers and are committed to delivering evidence-based treatment and outstanding care to families.

We have raised $10M in seed capital from top VCs who have led investments in category-defining health-tech companies like One Medical, Hims, Spring Health, Cityblock, Honor, and Tia. We attracted angels from the world’s top digital health companies like CityBlock, Livongo, Ginger, Hims, Quartet, Pill Club, and more.

The Opportunity

Join a small, fast-moving engineering team where your work matters immediately and improves care for kids and families. You’ll own meaningful end-to-end product areas—taking ideas from “what if…” to production across patient experiences, clinician workflows, and internal tools—while also helping define how we build (development practices, quality bar, and technical defaults). This role is an AI-forward role where you’ll have real latitude to experiment with modern AI tooling to increase our engineering velocity, and to identify, prototype, and ship AI-powered product capabilities where they meaningfully improve outcomes and patient experience.

Our Stack

  • Web: Next.js (React), TypeScript, Modern CSS

  • Backend: Node.js / Next API Routes

  • Data: PostgreSQL, Redis

  • Testing: Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Github Actions

  • Infrastructure: Aptible (Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus)

What You’ll Do

Own Features End-to-End: Take a feature from a loosely defined problem or ambiguous "what if..." through requirements, development, and delivery—collaborating directly with product and clinical stakeholders to deliver high impact results.

Build Across the Stack: Develop features for our patient-facing apps, pediatrician dashboards, and internal clinical tools—working across the frontend, backend, and mobile.

Use AI to Move Faster: Experiment with the latest AI tooling, share what you learn and help raise the bar for how we all work.

Lead Technical Decisions: Help define our engineering processes—CI/CD improvements, code quality, testing strategy, API & database design.

Move Fast, Stay Secure: Ship high-velocity code while maintaining the rigorous security standards required for HIPAA-compliant healthcare.

Who You Are

  • 3-5 Years Experience: You're proficient in our stack: Next.js, TypeScript, and SQL. You have depth in at least one area (frontend, backend, or mobile) and genuine interest in learning the others as needed

  • A Problem-Solver at Heart: You’re comfortable with ambiguity, can turn sparse requirements into a plan, and drive work from “what do we need?” to shipped outcomes with minimal oversight.

  • AI-Native: AI-Native: You already use AI to speed up your workflow and you're genuinely excited to push the boundaries of what's possible. You'll help the team experiment and adopt new tools alongside you.

  • Collaborative Self-Starter: You thrive in a remote environment where communication is proactive and the mission is the North Star.

  • Regulated Industry Veteran: Bonus if you have worked in HealthTech, FinTech, or similar spaces. Able to understand that security and privacy aren't "features"—they are the foundation.

What We Offer

  • Meaningful Impact: Your code will literally change the lives of children and parents navigating chronic conditions.

  • Growth & Equity: Competitive salary plus an equity stake in a high-growth, venture-backed startup.

  • Flexible Remote Culture: Work from anywhere in the US. (Optional monthly meetups for SF Bay Area locals).

  • Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and flexible PTO.
