Position Overview

Element is looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong application design and development skills. In this role, you must possess excellent problem-solving skills and deep technical knowledge with a strong aptitude for appreciating the focus, scope, and impact of your work in a much wider and forward-looking software landscape. You should also be able to demonstrate a history of technical leadership, excellent communication, and a positive attitude.  You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary, agile application development team tasked with operating and enhancing an enterprise government system and with performing migration from one AWS account to another. The project work is primarily remote but may require some client on-site work estimated at <10%


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience in DevOps.
  • Experience with CSS, Angular and shifting testing left, as well as all aspects of full test automation.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and the ability to do so quickly.
  • Ability to write high-quality code efficiently.
  • Experience with Agile application development.
  • Test-Driven Development, Agile Development and  Mindset.
  • Java and JavaScript development experience.
  • Developing Restful JSON APIs.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience within CMS is a plus.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
  • Must reside in the Continental US.
  • Depending on government agency, specific requirements may include public trust background check or security clearance.


$100,000 - $150,000 a year
The likely salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
