Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight shipments.
  • Negotiate competitive freight rates that align with company and client objectives.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor freight shipments to track progress and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
  • Prepare and manage contracts, documentation, and billing related to transportation agreements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for expanding the carrier network and improving service offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics role within the supply chain industry.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation modes, freight forwarding, and logistics procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills for interfacing with clients and carriers.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Valid Freight Broker license or certification preferred but not mandatory.
