Hey, I’m Adam, co-founder and CEO of Talent Llama. We’re looking for a Founding Growth Marketing Manager to join me and my co-founder Ben as our first marketing hire and help us build something massive from the ground up.

This is truly a ground-floor role. We’ve built AI-powered interview agents that help companies hire knowledge workers faster and fairer. We’ve got paying customers and real traction. Now we need someone who can own demand gen, brand, product marketing, events and content end-to-end—someone who can build the engine that takes us to the next level.

Here’s the deal:
This role is made for someone who…

  • Wants to be the first marketing hire and wear a bunch of hats: outbound growth, inbound optimization, social, events, content, product launches, onboarding flows.

  • Can flip from writing an SEO-driven landing page one minute to sketching a booth banner the next.

  • Knows how to architect a multi-channel campaign (LinkedIn outreach + email cadences + paid ads + SEO) and is just as comfortable scheduling X posts or editing a promo video.

  • Lives in data: A/B tests, conversion funnels, pipeline metrics...but also dreams in prose, visuals, and storytelling.

  • Thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution: you set the roadmap but dive into modern tools like Close, Outreach.ly, Hubspot, SmartLead, Google Analytics, Webflow, Canva. You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.

  • Doesn’t wait for direction. If you see a gap in our sign-up flow or hear feedback at an event, you fix it --> iterate, measure impact, repeat.

  • Understands startup life: we move fast, focus hard, but keep work in perspective. Like a pro sports team aiming for peak performance, yet knowing life happens and work is never the only priority.

What matters to us:

  • We care about: Can you grow the top of funnel? Can you turn cold prospects into demos? Can you tell our story in a way that resonates and isn't cringe?

What you’ll do:

  • Own growth end-to-end: outbound (LinkedIn, email), inbound (SEO, landing pages, sign-up flows), social media, paid channels.

  • Lead product marketing: craft feature announcements, update emails, and onboarding sequences that drive activation and retention.

  • Plan and execute events: from travel logistics and budgets to booth design, banners, swag and post-event follow-up.

  • Create and curate content: blog posts, videos, webinars, case studies, infographics—and design assets that bring our brand to life.

  • Partner with Sales & Product: refine ICP, messaging and GTM strategy; feed customer insights into roadmap; build playbooks for future hires.

  • Build repeatable systems: marketing funnels, reporting dashboards, content calendars and campaign templates—while staying agile and creative.

What success looks like:

  • You’ve built a consistent 7-figure pipeline of qualified leads.

  • You’re hitting strong conversion rates at every stage: outreach → demo → sign-up → activation.

  • You’ve run product launches that drive spikes in adoption and NPS.

  • You’ve executed events that fill the top of funnel and generate partnerships.

  • You’ve documented and taught others our growth systems, so we can scale beyond hire #1.
