Role Summary

As one of Beakon’s earliest dedicated sales hires, you’ll play a foundational role in developing and executing our outbound sales strategy. You’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers, helping refine our messaging, and working directly with the founding team to shape our go-to-market approach.


Key Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Identify and engage potential customers through cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, calls).

  • Research security, operations, and risk management teams to target the right prospects.

  • Build and refine prospecting lists, leveraging tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, AmpleMarket, or similar.

Lead Qualification & Sales Process Development

  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect needs and pain points.

  • Qualify leads and schedule meetings with our co-founders.

  • Iterate on outreach strategies to improve engagement and conversion rates.

  • Help define and optimize Beakon’s early sales process.

Collaboration & Market Insights

  • Work closely with the founding team to refine Beakon’s positioning and messaging.

  • Gather feedback from prospects to help shape product development and go-to-market strategy.

  • Track outreach performance and recommend improvements to our sales approach.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar sales role (B2B preferred).

  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – ability to clearly articulate Beakon’s value proposition.

  • Process-driven and organized, with experience managing outreach efforts in a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).

  • Self-starter mentality – comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment.

  • Learner’s mindset - we don’t have big egos and think about problems from first principles.

  • Interest in security, law enforcement, emergency management, intelligence gathering, AI, or SaaS technology is a plus.
